About the role
Our partner, a social-purpose organization recognized for its commitment to women and girls, is seeking to welcome a Psychosocial Support Worker to support the launch of a new community-based housing project. This living environment will serve women who have experienced complex life situations and will offer tailored support to promote residential stability and autonomy.
In a start-up context marked by close collaboration, the Psychosocial Support Worker will play a key role in the implementation of services and the intake of residents. They will then provide individualized, compassionate support grounded in active listening, respect, and empathy, helping women and their families navigate their steps and move toward lasting well-being.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the resident/tenant selection process (AccèsLogis program).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of intervention programs.
- Support the team during the start-up and ongoing operations of the project.
- Provide psychosocial support to residents/tenants.
- Develop and follow up on individualized intervention plans.
- Document interventions and client files.
- Facilitate group workshops and community activities.
- Deliver workshops related to intimate partner violence (IPV).
- Help maintain a safe, community-oriented living environment.
- Intervene in conflict situations and support healthy group dynamics.
- Collaborate with community partners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (remote or in-person interventions).
- Represent the organization on committees and with external partners.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human relations, sexology, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in individual and group intervention.
- Experience working with women and in community-based living environments.
- Knowledge of mental health issues, violence-related concerns, and community-based and feminist approaches.
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written (approximately 50% of the clientele is English-speaking).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
**Salary:**Starting at $26.27 per hour. **Schedule:**35 hours per week. **Status:**Indeterminate-term contract.
