Reference 260009NR Responsibilities The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units. The Market Risk and Collateral (MRC) team belongs to the XRM (Cross Risk Metrics) department that aims at supporting risk department (RISQ). This is a central and dynamic position as you will provide technical and functional support on the market risk chain to allow our traders and risk analysts to manage their risks on a day to days basis. Great communication, social skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our applications. You will also help develop the DevOps activity within the support team. Close to the local dev team, you will put in place the tools and good practices to increase the efficiency of both support team and dev team. How you will contribute to the day-to-day activities of the team: Using your knowledge and exemplary service skills to resolve business inquiries and ensuring the accurate and timely escalation and resolution of the issues. Provide day-to-day technical expertise and operational support to obtain highest degrees of production stability for critical applications. Provide monitoring and support for applications front office, market data, risk management, Profit and loss etc. Trouble shooting issues using technology skills (reading logs, SQL,unix) and working closely with Level 3 development team to manage resolution of application issues. Work with Application Development teams to implement fixes and improve stability. Work with the business, technology, and operations to manage competing priorities. Document, implement and adhere to operational and technical standards, best practices, processes, and procedures (problem/change/release/request management/service/time reporting). Assist with identifying and implementing areas for improvement within existing operational and technical processes and maintain related documentation. Contribution in dev Ops role focused on creating, improving, or testing a product, system, or solution. Maintain development build environment ( CI/CD, containerization, …) Ensure vulnerabilities are handled within SLA Optimize the resources used by production and non prod environment. Identify and implement tools to increase support and development teams Required Profile required Skills and Qualifications: Must Have: Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to analyze and provide / receive constructive feedback. Knowledge of big data technologies, cloud, and API. Strong trouble shooting skills, technical skills especially in the use of SQL/Unix and experience working with relational databases. Highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities with an extreme level of detail, accuracy, confidentiality, diplomacy, and initiative. Good command of the English language. Fluency in second world language is a plus. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, demonstrate a responsible work ethic, high level of professionalism and sound judgment. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts (Starting 08:00 AM EST to 5:00PM EST and Starting 10:30 AM EST to 7:30PM EST) User focused and service oriented, with a proactive user approach. Ability to do knowledge sharing or training sessions, functional documentation creation. Extensive experience in task automation. Nice to Have: ITIL Certification/Azure Cloud certification Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering 5 + years’ experience in an application support, Technology support or in a Service Delivery role particularly in the financial sector is preferred Languages: French, English LANGUAGE: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
