La Société Royale de Médecine Mentale Belge a été fondée en 1869. La Société Royale de Médecine Mentale Belge a pour but : d’acquérir et de répandre les connaissances propres à favoriser les progrès de la psychiatrie de veiller aux conditions éthiques d’approche et de prise en charge en psychiatrie de développer la législation en ce domaine. La SRMMB promeut un cycle de formation/réflexion composé de journées d'études pour lesquelles l'accréditation est demandée. Elle édite les Acta Psychiatrica Belgica . De SRMMB werd in 1869 opgericht.
