Job Title: HVAC Designer / Mechanical Designer (Commercial) Location: Calgary, AB (Remote or Hybrid acceptable) Job Type: Contract / Freelance / Project-based About the Project We need a qualified HVAC designer to prepare complete mechanical drawings for a commercial tenant improvement in Calgary so we can resubmit a Building Permit. Project Details Location: 220 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary Permit #: BP2026-17488 Scope: Full HVAC drawings showing all ventilation systems, including ducts, duct sizing, air volumes, and outdoor air rates Must comply with ASHRAE 62-2016 New tenant space – completely new mechanical drawings are required (existing drawings cannot be reused) Responsibilities Prepare complete, City of Calgary–ready HVAC drawings and specifications Ensure all ventilation meets ASHRAE 62-2016 requirements Deliver drawings in a format ready for online permit resubmission Requirements Experience designing commercial HVAC systems in Alberta / Calgary Strong knowledge of the National Building Code (Alberta Edition) and ASHRAE 62-2016 Ability to produce clear, complete drawings that pass City of Calgary mechanical review Reliable turnaround time How to Apply Please submit: Brief summary of your commercial HVAC design experience (especially Calgary projects) Typical turnaround time for a project of this scope Quote (fixed price preferred) or hourly rate
