Scope The Distribution Center Forklift Driver is primarily responsible for operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials in a distribution center. This role ensures the safe and efficient handling of inventory, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment. Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment Move inventory and materials within the warehouse, load and unload trucks as needed Retrieve and transport products to designated storage areas or shipping zones based on operational needs Pick product from correct locations to fulfill customer orders Pick multiple orders at one time, confirm UPC# and quantity of product for accuracy Accurately and efficiently load outbound shipments Use RF Gun scanning equipment, and Barcode scanners Help with QC order with limited time Maintain clean and orderly staging, storage, and dock areas to ensure efficient workflow Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and shipping/receiving teams to meet operational goals Adhere to all safety regulations, conduct pre-operation equipment checks, and report any malfunctions or safety hazards Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification/license required including Reach, Counterbalance or Pallet Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds for extended periods Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team Must be available to work extra hours and occasional weekends in peak season (typically October to December) The successful candidate will receive a conditional offer, contingent upon the successful completion of a background check conducted by our contracted third-party vendor. The specific clearance requirements vary by position and may include one or more of the following: criminal background check, credit check, employment verification, education verification, and driver’s abstract review.
