About The Role We are looking for a reliable and organized Shipper and Receiver to join our team in Markham. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing and coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records, and supporting the Purchasing team with daily activities. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accurate paperwork and records. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials, parts, and supplies. Perform basic incoming inspection to verify quantities, part numbers, packaging, and visible condition of materials. Unload and move materials safely using a forklift and other material-handling equipment. Prepare outgoing shipments and arrange UPS, FedEx, courier, and other delivery services. Coordinate local deliveries and pickups as required. Prepare, organize, and maintain shipping, receiving, delivery, and other related paperwork. Match incoming materials with purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation. Report discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, or incorrect shipments to the appropriate team members. Label, store, and organize incoming materials in designated areas. Maintain an organized and safe shipping/receiving area. Assist the Purchasing team with daily administrative and operational tasks. Support the Purchasing team with receiving-related information, documentation, and follow-up with suppliers or couriers. Assist with inventory-related activities and other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, purchasing support, or a related role is an asset. Experience in using calipers, and basic inspection tools is an asset. Valid driver's licence and ability to drive for work-related purposes. Forklift experience and/or certification is an asset. Basic understanding of incoming material inspection and quality checks. Good organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and paperwork. Basic computer skills and ability to learn company systems and software, good knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and other basic documentation. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Production, and other departments. Ability to lift 50lbs and move materials as required. Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working effectively as part of a team.
