Role Description This full-time, on-site Dispatcher role is based in Montreal, QC. The Dispatcher coordinates roadside service calls for trucks and trailers, receiving requests from customers, assessing urgency, and assigning mechanics and service vehicles efficiently. The role includes monitoring job status, updating customers on estimated arrival and completion times, and adjusting schedules as new emergencies arise. The Dispatcher maintains accurate records of calls, locations, and services performed, and collaborates closely with technicians and management to ensure smooth operations. The position also involves basic administrative duties, such as data entry, documenting service details, and following internal procedures for safety and service quality. Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills to handle calls, provide clear information, and maintain professional relationships with transport clients. Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize urgent requests, manage multiple service calls, and coordinate technician schedules. Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle or trucking operations to understand service needs and urgency levels. Comfort with computer systems and dispatch or scheduling software, including data entry and report tracking. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced, emergency-oriented situations. Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics, transportation, or office administration is an advantage. Availability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, or rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations. MUST speak both French and English.
