We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Shop Supervisor - Engineered Products & Services based out of our Saint John, NB location (11 McIlveen Drive Saint John, NB, E2J 4Y6). SUMMARY: We're looking for a hands-on Shop Supervisor to lead our Engineered Products & Services team in Saint John. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical or industrial service background who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and keeping work moving efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. As Shop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating service work, supporting technicians, managing customer expectations, and ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Service Department (Electrical & Mechanical); working closely with technicians to troubleshoot issues, remove roadblocks, and support successful job completion. Plan and schedule service work, assign resources, and coordinate technician workloads to maximize efficiency and meet customer timelines. Supervise a team of skilled Service Technicians while fostering a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment. Ensure service orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. Maintain compliance with ISO requirements and company policies throughout the repair process. Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates and maintaining strong working relationships during repairs. Oversee repair quotations and work closely with the Mechanical Department to support accurate job costing and scope development. Review completed work to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer requirements have been met. Collaborate with the Electrical Department Manager to maintain a smooth and efficient repair process across departments. Drive initiatives that improve shop organization, productivity, safety, and overall operational performance. Participate in the on-call rotation as required & support a 24/7 operation where occasional overtime will be required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory, leadership, or lead-hand role within an industrial, manufacturing, service, or maintenance environment. Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification is considered a strong asset. Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in industrial equipment and technical applications. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative leadership style. Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal teams. Highly organized with strong time management skills and a sense of urgency. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
