Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role based in Winkler, MB. The Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing accurate measurements, and inspecting finished parts for quality and tolerances. The role involves routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the production team to meet project deadlines. The Machinist will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to safety, efficiency, and process optimization. Qualifications Strong CNC and manual machining skills, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and performing quality checks. Understanding of shop safety practices, machine maintenance, and proper handling of tools and materials. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Post-secondary training in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. (recommended) Willingness to work on-site in Winkler, MB and adapt to changing production priorities.
