Spark Power provides a wide range of services to clients, including power system field services, engineering services, maintenance planning, project management, automation services, mechanical engineering support services, training services, and thermographic scanning. What will do you as the Senior Substation Design Engineer? Leading a project team of engineers, designers and drafters in the design of electrical substations up to 500Kv. Participate in the preparation of project scope, proposals and cost estimates. Write electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, material requisitions and Bill of Materials. Assist in procurement of equipment. Review shop drawings and Factory Acceptance Test reports. Participate in client design and constructability review meetings. Perform grounding studies on software programs such as ETAP and CDEGS. Perform Lightening studies. Create Single Line Drawings, substation layout and elevation drawings, grounding details and station services drawings. Requirements
Candidates must hold an Electrical Engineering degree and a P.Eng designation, with APEGA membership preferred. Legal entitlement to work in Canada and a clean driving record are required.
