Pay: CA$90,000.00-CA$100,000.00 per year About the Role Serruya Private Equity is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to support financial operations within our Food Sector division. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, currently leading a team of 2-3 staff, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a hands‑on role suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment and is ready to grow with the business. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations for the assigned sector, including: Revenue reconciliation and Accounts receivable Reviewing accounts payables from payment team and make sure coding’s correct and policy is followed General ledger maintenance Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Third‑party reporting Royalty and license fee calculations (if applicable) Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and meet the closing deadline Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Ensure compliance with CRA regulations, including GST/HST and statutory filings Support year‑end audits and work with external accountants on tax filings and planning Lead the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights Lead, mentor, and support a small accounting team Qualifications Actively enrolled in or working toward a CPA designation (CPA preferred) 6+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior or supervisory role Strong knowledge of full‑cycle accounting Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel required) Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment Preferred / Asset Experience Food & beverage, retail, or franchised business experience Multi‑entity or private‑equity‑backed environments Royalty or licensing accounting exposure Why Join Serruya Private Equity Work with growing, well‑known food brands High exposure to senior leadership Entrepreneurial and fast‑moving environment Opportunities for professional growth Commitment to Equity & Accessibility We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
