Learning is a growing education startup dedicated to helping non-native speakers (primarily based in China) overcome their fear of making mistakes and achieve real-world conversational fluency. We are looking for a friendly, patient, and reliable tutor to join our team and teach using our unique, student-centric methodology. You will work directly with students to develop their accuracy, confidence, and fluency in practical, real-world contexts. Responsibilities include preparing engaging sessions, continuously assessing student progress, and personalizing lessons to meet individual needs. This is a part-time remote position. Applicants MUST be based in Canada. Applicants MUST speak English as their native language. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver engaging, 1-on-1 conversational English sessions. Continuously assess student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback. Personalize lesson plans and materials to meet individual student needs and goals. Foster a dynamic, supportive, and safe learning environment. What We’re Looking For: Language Skills: Native proficiency in English with the ability to clearly explain grammar, phonetics, and common idioms. (Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset). Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching. Strong lesson planning skills and the ability to tailor your approach. Intercultural Competence: High empathy and the ability to understand and respond to the unique needs of non-native learners. Technical Requirements: A reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a webcam/microphone setup. Why Join Us? Flexible remote work environment. What you’ll do
