The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation of customer vehicles. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting oil changes, brake services, suspension work, and general maintenance, as well as identifying and addressing mechanical issues. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety and quality standards, and communicating clearly with service advisors and customers about recommended repairs and timelines. Technicians are expected to keep the workspace organized, use tools and equipment properly, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented shop environment. Qualifications Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for a variety of makes and models. Proficiency in performing Oil Changes and related fluid checks and replacements. Hands-on experience with Automotive Repair, including diagnostics and component replacement. Ability to inspect, service, and repair Suspension systems safely and accurately. Relevant automotive technician certification or apprenticeship (e.g., Red Seal or provincial equivalent) is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations, shop procedures, and proper use of diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when explaining repairs and recommendations. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with automotive technologies.
