PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION IN SQUAMISH VALLEY CLOSES: Open Until Filled BE PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL Join the Ayás Mén̓men Early Years and Youth Services team as the Team Leader, Early Intervention, where you will support the wellness of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh children and families through restorative, holistic, and culturally grounded early intervention programming. Rooted in snew̓íyelh (teachings), respect, and community connection, the Early Years team provides a continuum of supports from prenatal to early childhood, ensuring every child and family receives compassionate, culturally aligned, and family‑centered care. As a member of the Family Centres management team, you will oversee the Shewaynewas Parent Program (prenatal to age 3), coordinate early intervention services for families with children from birth to age six, and lead a multidisciplinary team that upholds Squamish teachings and wellness practices. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Coordinate early intervention services for children, youth, and families. * Lead and support a multidisciplinary team. * Develop and oversee individualized family care plans. * Connect families with assessments, therapies, and specialized supports. * Facilitate referrals to developmental, disability, and government programs. * Build partnerships with early learning programs and community agencies. * Coordinate developmental screening, referrals, and service transitions. * Promote culturally grounded and inclusive service delivery. * Facilitate meetings with families, professionals, and community partners. * Supervise staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. * Maintain program records, reporting, and administrative processes. * Build positive relationships with families and the broader community. * Support departmental goals and organizational priorities. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Bachelor’s degree in social services, early childhood development, mental health, child/youth care, or related field. * 4–5 years of experience in early childhood development, case management, social services, or related fields. * Experience supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities. * Knowledge of family‑centre practice and family‑centered service models. * Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills. * High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and integrity. * Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. * Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and digital tools; database experience (JD Edwards/Nucleus) an asset. * Knowledge and understanding of Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw history, culture, customs, land, and People is preferred. * Valid BC Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle access.
