Department: Finance Position Overview: Squarepoint has a newly created role for an experienced payroll accountant to join their growing management company accounting team. Review payroll across numerous countries to verify correct base, bonus and severance payouts Reconcile payroll files to the JE provided by the payroll vendor Reconcile payroll liability account to the bank and to the vendors’ books Participate in all monthly accounting activities including month-end closing, A/R, A/P, account reconciliations, allocations schedules and intercompany transactions Coordinate with third party tax and auditor professionals in completing yearly tax returns and audits, both under US GAAP and under local reporting standards Participate in various ad-hoc requests from senior management and other departments Required Qualifications: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation or within a payroll service provider Exceptional analytical & communication skills Ability to multitask & strong attention to detail Highly organized, self-motivated & team-oriented Strong excel knowledge and ability to analyse data using PIVOTs, VLOOKUPs and sumifs Nice to have: Workday Financials knowledge/experience Knowledge of ADP as payroll vendor and UK payroll specifics
