Senior Solution Designer - Microsoft Fabric & Azure Synapse Location: New Brunswick - Hybrid Position Summary Seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Designer based in Canada to join our Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and modern cloud data platforms, with a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale analytics solutions. This is a client-facing role requiring strong consulting, solution design, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. The successful candidate will partner closely with client business and technology teams, providing architecture leadership and helping deliver strategic data modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end solution design for enterprise data and analytics programs. Collaborate with client stakeholders, architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define solution strategies and roadmaps. Design scalable and secure data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics. Facilitate architecture workshops, requirement discovery sessions, and solution reviews. Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans. Provide technical leadership across data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives. Establish best practices for data architecture, governance, security, scalability, and performance. Support enterprise data modernization and cloud transformation programs. Review and guide engineering teams throughout implementation and deployment phases. Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Cloud Data Platforms. 5+ years in Solution Design, Solution Architecture, or Technical Leadership roles. Experience working directly with enterprise clients and senior stakeholders. Must be authorized to work in Canada or the United States. Technical Expertise Microsoft Fabric Strong hands-on experience with: Fabric Lakehouse Data Factory Data Engineering Real-Time Analytics Semantic Models Fabric Security & Governance Data Integration and Orchestration Azure Synapse Analytics Deep expertise in: Dedicated SQL Pools Serverless SQL Apache Spark Pools Synapse Pipelines Performance Optimization Data Warehouse Design Additional Technologies Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS) Azure Data Factory (ADF) Power BI SQL Server Data Modeling ETL/ELT Frameworks Azure DevOps and CI/CD Data Governance and Security Frameworks Preferred Experience Enterprise-scale Data Warehouse and Lakehouse implementations. Data platform migration and modernization initiatives. Multi-cloud or hybrid analytics environments. Experience in regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, or Public Sector. Experience mentoring architects, designers, and engineering teams. Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (preferred) Key Competencies Enterprise Solution Architecture Customer and Stakeholder Management Strategic Consulting Technical Leadership Architecture Governance Problem Solving and Decision Making Executive Communication Cross-functional Collaboration Artificial Intelligence (AI) maybe used in the hiring process used by SRA Group and/or the end client
