Find out more: https://www.stengg.com/urban-solutions Job Description Summary Project Engineer for Platform Screen Doors projects Key Job Accountabilities Identify, control, and manage system interfaces according to the system architecture, functions, and contractual requirements Prepare and manage interface documents, matrices, and registers Lead and coordinate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and the client Define impact analysis for proposed changes to the system and support System Configuration Management through the whole lifecycle Support system requirements development and maintain project Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Support project team in all technical decisions and design coordination Coordinate the installation of systems, such as cable, mechanical, or electrical components, ensuring compliance with standards Transition to installation engineer role according to the lifecycle of the project Coordinate material delivery and site installation activities with installation subcontractors Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system installation Participate in testing and validation of installed systems Required Qualifications & Experience Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or System Engineering At least 2 years of professional experience in a related field Prior experience in managing Platform Screen Doors interface and delivery of solution to completion Experience in managing external stakeholders (customers and suppliers) Competency in interactions with Civil Contractors and Rail System Contractors Understanding of engineering lifecycles, delivery, integration lifecycle Prior experience in the delivery and installation of Platform Screen Doors system is desirable Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-tasking across different projects at any given time Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to acquire deep understanding of new technologies with minimal guidance Strong and effective communication High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, requirements management tools, and defect tracking tools High proficiency in English Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable Professional Engineer certification is desirable Occasional meetings with project team online outside of office hours may be required Able to travel for work Reporting Relationship The incumbent reports to the Project Manager Work Location Ontario, Canada Employment Type Permanent
What you’ll do
Manage system interfaces and requirements for Platform Screen Doors projects throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate technical design, site installation activities, and validation testing with subcontractors and clients.
Requirements
Requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or System Engineering with at least 2 years of professional experience. Prior experience with Platform Screen Doors and stakeholder management is highly desired.
