The Trauma and Violence Specialized Primary Care Program is an innovative initiative offering comprehensive trauma -and-violence-informed care to individuals impacted by interpersonal, structural, and systemic violence. The program is grounded in equity-oriented, person-centred principles and places a particular focus on supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). This integrated model brings together primary care, mental health, and social supports to improve access and outcomes for clients who often experience barriers in traditional health care settings. The program is committed to ongoing research, evaluation, and quality improvement to ensure services remain responsive, evidence-based, and rooted in community need. St. Joseph's Health Care London's Trauma and Violence Specialized Primary Care Program is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will play an integral role in the interdisciplinary care team, delivering compassionate, trauma-and-violence-informed nursing support to clients impacted by trauma, including gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, and systemic inequities. Your expertise and empathy will help foster a safe and supportive environment for patients with diverse and often complex medical and emotional challenges. This position also includes opportunities to contribute to program development, quality improvement, and evaluation activities that strengthen client experience and outcomes. Essential Qualifications Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse. Valid CPR certificate Proficiency and experience in pharmacology and medication administration Successful completion of a nursing competency test A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in primary care, trauma-and violence-informed care setting within the last 3 years Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-and-violence-informed principles and practices. Demonstrated knowledge of family practice nursing throughout an individual's life cycle, along with comprehensive assessment skills Familiarity with harm reduction, anti-oppressive frameworks, and culturally safe care. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and other digital tools. Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA Demonstrated experience in Care Coordination and System Navigation to support patients care closest to their home Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy skills Previous experience dealing with health promotion and preventative medicine Demonstrated effective communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking and clinical problem-solving skills Self-directed, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Ability to work independently as well as on a team Demonstrated computer experience, particularly with Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office Products, particularly PowerPoint and MS Teams Ability to apply effective body mechanics and meet the physical demands of the position Preferred Qualifications Experience working in trauma-and violence-focused clinics, mental health care or mental health nursing Certification or training in trauma-and-violence-informed care or mental health nursing Experience with diverse and underserved populations Proficiency in French is considered an asset Teaching and Research St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate medication administration, assessment, phlebotomy, care coordination, communication, critical thinking, digital tool, and trauma-informed practice skills.
