Job summary

Position: Program Administrator Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: $30.00/hour Start Date: September 1, 2026 End Date: March 31, 2027 Extension: Up to 18 months (based on project requirements) Work Model: Hybrid (Calgary or Edmonton, AB) Our public sector client is seeking detail-oriented, customer-focused professionals to join a high-performing team supporting the delivery of childcare programs and services. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in customer service, case management, program administration, or benefits administration who enjoy helping clients while working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and process applications, renewals, and amendments in accordance with established policies and procedures. Determine client eligibility by reviewing financial and supporting documentation. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and online channels from clients and stakeholders. Guide clients through program requirements and online services. Investigate and resolve issues related to applications, eligibility, payments, and system processes. Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and information management requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support efficient program delivery. Participate in testing, training, process improvements, and operational initiatives as required. Required Qualifications Experience in customer service, program administration, benefits administration, case management, or a related field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and program guidelines. Experience reviewing information, assessing eligibility, and making accurate decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with government programs or social benefit programs. Experience supporting clients through complex or sensitive situations. Experience using multiple systems and databases while providing customer service. Work Location Hybrid position with opportunities in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. Candidates must reside within one hour of either Calgary or Edmonton. Depending on operational requirements, onsite attendance may be required up to 5 days per week. Working Hours Monday to Friday 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Alberta Time) One-hour lunch break Provincial holidays observed Security Requirements Successful candidates must obtain a Level 2 Enhanced Security Screening, including: Criminal Record Check Financial Management Risk Indicator Screening (FMRIS)
