Our Finance headquarters is located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Generating over $3.0 billion in sales, the successful candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers. Location: Winnipeg, MB What you’ll do: * Ensure all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements. * Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls. * Lead or participate in the audit preparation process by working with internal stakeholders for both internal and external audits. * Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy. * Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations monthly ensuring processes, support and controls are maintained * Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department. * Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required. * Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis Position Requirements: * Must be authorized to work in Canada * Holds or is actively pursuing a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and maintain accurate general ledger accounts through rigorous review of journal entries and reconciliations. Lead audit preparation processes and maintain the internal control environment to ensure organizational compliance.

Requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate manufacturing or public accounting, and a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle, US GAAP, and SOX are considered strong assets.
