Generating over $3.0 billion in sales, the successful candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers. Location: Winnipeg, MB What you’ll do: * Ensure all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements. * Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls. * Lead or participate in the audit preparation process by working with internal stakeholders for both internal and external audits. * Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy. * Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations monthly ensuring processes, support and controls are maintained * Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department. * Actively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required. * Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis Position Requirements: * Must be authorized to work in Canada * Holds or is actively pursuing a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Requirements

Requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate manufacturing or public accounting, and a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle, US GAAP, and SOX are considered strong assets.
