Your Opportunity The Canada West Energy and Resources team has an exciting opportunity for a junior Pipeline Drafter to join our established and supportive team. As a Pipeline Drafter, you will work with support and close guidance on tasks for projects in a team environment on a variety of projects. Your Key Responsibilities: * Apply diversified knowledge of design principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields * Maintain drafting processes and procedures to follow and apply commonly used drafting concepts, practices, procedures and policies within the resource industry * Assist more experienced draftspersons on complex projects * Set up and preparation of engineering drawing plans, sections, profiles and details in compliance with Client’s CAD standards and protocols * Preform self checks on produced work * Produce high quality drawings and drawing sets in the appropriate software * Assist the design team in drawing development * Creating and revising Bills of Materials (BOMs) * Working with and creating scalable CAD drawings At Stantec, we know the work we do matters. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. The Junior Pipeline Drafter will assist the design team by preparing engineering drawings, plans, and profiles while maintaining compliance with CAD standards. They will also be responsible for creating and revising Bills of Materials and performing self-checks on all produced work.

Candidates must possess a technical degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited drafting program. Strong communication skills, proficiency with CAD equipment, and the ability to solve problems proactively are required.
