This opportunity is available in our Yellowknife, Iqaluit, and Whitehorse offices. As a student you will be working within teams on various projects in an innovative and design orientated environment with close guidance and direction from a Senior Designer or Architect. Responsibilities will be diverse and may range from the preparation of design drawings, studies, research, presentation materials, models, and technical drawings. Your Key Responsibilities * Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material. * Supports project team in development of design documentation. * Assists in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats. * Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components. * Assists in research of concept, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements
Candidates should be working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university, with a portfolio of project work required for review. Basic understanding of design tools like Revit and AutoCAD is preferred, along with strong communication skills.
