Stantec Consulting Limited (Stantec) is seeking an Aviation Planner with the relevant experience and qualifications to join our Airport Planning and Design team. We are seeking an individual who is dynamic and motivated; that has problem-solving and communication skills and a strong work ethic. The candidate should demonstrate a desire and interest in challenging assignments, advancement potential, and interest and ability to travel. The selected individual will be supported by other experienced aviation planners, engineers, and support staff and will be responsible for contributing to or leading the planning assignments for airport infrastructure projects, including but not limited to airport master plans, feasibility and regulatory studies, commercial land developments at airports (airside, terminal, landside) and related aviation and airport support services planning and operations, and support for other disciplines (architecture and engineering) in general planning and design related tasks as assigned. We are seeking an individual with experience or knowledge in all or most of the following areas: * Airside, terminal, and landside planning and airport master planning, assessments of traffic forecasts, airport facility requirements and demand/ capacity analyses, airside, terminal and landside operations integration of systems; * Airport terminal concept of operations and required systems; * Aircraft and ground vehicle movement simulation and modelling using AviPlan; * Airport and heliport planning principles and techniques; * Project management skills and experience * Client and stakeholder engagement / presentations, discussions and workshops; * Airport operations, management and aviation technical experience or training; and * Knowledge and application of relevant and applicable aviation standards and regulatory framework for airports (ICAO, IATA, Transport Canada, FAA, etc.). Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this position would be to: * Manage airport planning projects and perform planning tasks to support airport design projects * Perform airport site reviews via desktop study or site visit, engage with clients and stakeholders in support of airport planning and design projects; * Prepare development/concept plans for airfield, terminal or ground transportation facilities compliant with applicable standards and regulations; * Prepare written reports and deliverables for airport projects; * Prepare and present concepts, final draft materials to airport authorities, stakeholders, and the public as part of a project team; * Support the Airport Infrastructure and Buildings teams with Pursuits and Business Development activities, as required. Preferred Skills and Qualifications * Knowledge of best practices, methods, and principles utilized in strategic planning, infrastructure and facilities planning, and operational research for airports; * Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D; * Proficiency using Adobe Suite and Bluebeam Revu; and * Knowledge of analytical techniques and related tools including statistical, spreadsheet, database, simulation modelling (CAST or Transoft Solutions Software), and spatial/graphical analysis applications

Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Architecture, or Aviation Management and possess at least 5 years of experience in airport planning. Proficiency in CAD software, analytical tools, and knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks are required.
