Your Opportunity Our London office has an opportunity for a Civil Field Inspector. Working in a multi-disciplined environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with our Community Development Team. Your Key Responsibilities Working in conjunction with the Senior Staff leading Stantec’s team, your responsibilities will include: * Leading all on-site quality assurance inspection activities for land development (subdivision and site plan) projects to record as-constructed conditions and verify conformance with the contract document, in accordance with applicable Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications, Ontario Building Code, Regional Standards, Municipal Standards and Stantec specifications including coordinating with third parties for Geotechnical inspection and testing as required. * Prepare construction reports, including but not limited to, erosion and sediment reports, inspections reports, site reports, testing reports and daily records for submission to Approval Authority * Maintaining daily photographic records to document construction activities and regularly archiving for records. * Quantity surveying including recording underground services elevation to document as-built information * Leading on-site construction progress review meetings, including documenting the discussion and action items. * Leading construction progress payment reviews, including tracking and reviewing contemplated change orders for out-of-scope work. * Serving as a main point of contact on site for the Contractor and the Client. * Reviewing requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications. * Preparing red-lined as-built drawings. * Training and/or mentoring less experienced staff in company procedures, standards and software. * Travel within London and surrounding area will be required Strong communities don’t just happen. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements

Candidates must have post-secondary education in Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering and 2 to 3 years of relevant construction inspection experience. Proficiency in engineering drawings, MS Office, and a valid driver's license are required, with AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience considered an asset.
