Join a team that’s naturally committed to the environment. Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a Geotechnical Technician to join our team in the Markham, ON office. Your Key Responsibilities In this role you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and other technicians performing general duties consisting of both field and laboratory work including the following: * Working on a variety of small to large projects spanning from transportation, power, mining, residential, commercial, and industrial developments. * Geotechnical field testing such as concrete testing, field compaction testing excavation inspections, geotechnical laboratory testing. * Assist with field and laboratory testing of soils/concrete/asphalt. * Promoting a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantec’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment Program. * Other general field and office related duties.

The technician will perform geotechnical field and laboratory testing, including concrete, soil, and asphalt analysis. They will also assist engineers with project inspections and maintain a strong commitment to health and safety protocols.

Candidates should have a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field, though no prior field experience is required. A valid driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
