Intermediate CAD Technician

Your Opportunity We are seeking an Intermediate CAD Technician (Water Resources) to join our Ontario Environmental Services team. You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line. Your Key Responsibilities Prepare CAD drawings and design packages for water resources and hydrotechnical projects using Civil 3D Interpret engineering markups and sketches and translate them into accurate drawing deliverables Develop and edit surfaces, profiles, cross-sections, and plan/profile drawings for riverine, coastal, and other water management projects Prepare grading plans, erosion and sediment control drawings, and as-built/redline updates as part of project design deliverables Support Civil 3D corridor modeling for grading, drainage, and linear infrastructure Support drawing production for culverts, channel works, bank stabilization, shoreline protection, stormwater, municipal drainage, and mining/water management projects Perform primarily office-based work, with regular collaboration across project teams Grounded in safety, quality, and ethics, our experts lead their fields with dedication, a creative spirit, and a vision for growth. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Prepare CAD drawings and design packages for water resources and hydrotechnical projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Develop surfaces, profiles, and grading plans for riverine, coastal, and municipal drainage projects.

Requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and a minimum of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Proficiency in civil drafting for water management projects and OACETT certification are highly valued.
