Your Opportunity: The primary role of the Intern Architect is to interpret and translate the needs and desires of our clients, with direction from our multi-disciplinary teams, into cohesive design solutions. This process will involve production of drawings (2D/3D), and written material to support the conceptual direction of the project. This individual will often be required to present their ideas in formal and informal settings with a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback. An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry. An intern architect is expected to work collaboratively with the architectural team's conceptualizing, developing and documenting varying aspects of the design of a project, including but not limited to site and space planning, developing elevations, sections, and architectural details, and product research. Your Key Responsibilities * Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material. * Supports project team in development of design documentation. * Assists in the development of a design through sketches, physical and digital models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats. * Utilizes BIM technologies in development of a 3D models of buildings and their components. * Assist in research of concept, benchmark, materials, typology, and precedents. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture and possess proficiency in Revit and various design software. At least 2 years of experience and registration as an Intern Architect are preferred.
