Our Edmonton office has an opportunity for a Survey Crew Chief within our Geospatial Group, focused on Community Land Development residential construction. Please note that this is a full-time position. Your Key Responsibilities * Work independently as well as manage the work of survey assistants. * Review and interpret engineering design drawings. * Coordination with site supervisors and contractors. * Perform surveys using GNSS (GPS), electronic total station, and conventional survey equipment. * Provide surveys on various projects including; land development construction (grading, layout U/G utilities, layout of roads) legal and topographic surveys and site surveys. * Transferring survey data to the proper folder locations. * Communicate effectively with members of the team and follow standard procedures. * Responsible for safe operation of tools and equipment. * Care of Company vehicle and Company issued survey equipment. * Preparation of construction layout report documentation and monitor project progress. * Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. What you’ll do

Requirements
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Crew Chief in residential construction and a valid driver's license. Post-secondary education in Geomatics or Civil programs is preferred.
