Your Opportunity Our Markham office has an opportunity for an entry-level Survey Technician/Assistant within our Geospatial Group. The Earth is top of mind for our Geospatial team. Your Key Responsibilities * Perform surveying tasks using GNSS survey instruments, digital levels, 3D laser scanners, and conventional survey equipment. * Assist the Survey Party Chief with tasks related to surveying and construction layout. * Assisting in the preparation of field notes/sketches and completing field data downloads and uploads. * Maintaining field equipment and vehicles. * Communicate effectively with members of the team and follow standard procedures. * Responsible for maintaining field equipment and vehicles. * Responsible for safe operation of tools and equipment, complying with OHSA and Stantec’s HSSE policies. * Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements
Requires strong communication skills, mathematical proficiency, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various outdoor weather conditions. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and post-secondary education in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred.
