Job summary

Some of What You Will Do: Perform a variety of furniture service-related tasks, including delivery, assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of both warranty and non-warranty office furniture. Receive directions from the Furniture Installation Team Lead and report to the Furniture Lead & Transportation Supervisor. Specifically, You Will: * Safely and efficiently load furniture orders onto the truck and deliver products to customers. * Verify orders against shipment documentation prior to loading. * Travel to customer sites to assemble and install furniture according to installation specifications and customer requirements. Ensure furniture is accurately assembled and installed within required timelines. Inspect furniture to ensure proper operation in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. * Install all types of freestanding furniture, panel systems, and modular furniture systems. This includes setup, leveling, cleaning, touch-ups on metal and wood furniture, site clean-up, and removal of packaging and debris. * Address and resolve customer concerns when required and report issues to the Supervisor or Project Coordinator. * Respond efficiently to all furniture repair service calls. Complete all documentation related to furniture service and repairs, both under warranty and out of warranty. * Ensure deficiencies and repairs are properly documented and completed within established timelines. * Report errors, recommend and implement corrective actions, and work closely with Project Coordinators to ensure successful project completion and resolution. * Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete daily vehicle inspections/checklists, and report maintenance issues to the Supervisor. * Unload incoming furniture shipments using warehouse equipment. * Provide support to furniture delivery drivers both on delivery routes and within the furniture warehouse as operational needs require. Act as a backup during vacations and absences, as assigned by the Supervisor. * Be available to work overtime and weekends as required to complete projects. * Participate in all physical inventory counts. * Follow all safety procedures while carrying out duties. Some of What You Need: * Minimum high school diploma required. * Ability to read construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings. * Demonstrated ability to prepare project and installation issue reports. * Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow written and verbal instructions. * Knowledge of warehouse equipment and light-duty tools (e.g., pallet jacks, furniture dollies, and power tools used for furniture installation and repair). * Must possess a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years of age, have a satisfactory driving record, and be physically fit to drive. * Good knowledge of the local metropolitan area. * Light truck driving experience is preferred. * Previous experience using hand trucks and transport carts. On-the-job training for pallet jack operations will be provided. * Minimum one (1) year of experience in furniture assembly and maintenance. * Minimum one (1) year of experience operating a delivery truck. * Experience using hand and power tools to assemble furniture. * Experience driving vehicles ranging from cargo vans to 5-ton trucks.
