Location: Kamloops & Surrounding Areas, BC (Field & Mobile Services) Employment Type: Part-Time leading to Full-Time Compensation: $28.00 – $38.00 / hour (based on experience) + travel expenses/mileage About the Role STAT Solution Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Mobile Audiometric Technician to join our Occupational Screening Department. Based out of Kamloops, BC, this role delivers essential workplace hearing conservation, audiometric testing, and occupational health screening services to industrial, commercial, and resource-sector clients throughout Kamloops and the surrounding Interior regions. This position offers flexible part-time hours with a direct pathway to full-time employment as client service volumes expand. Key Responsibilities Mobile Hearing Testing: Conduct industrial audiometric testing inside mobile screening units or on-site at client facilities following WorkSafeBC standards and procedures. Health Screening & Data Entry: Administer baseline/periodic hearing tests, noise exposure questionnaires, and supplementary occupational health screens (e.g., mask fit testing, vision screening, or basic spirometry where applicable). Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Perform daily pre-test checks, biological calibrations, and routine maintenance on audiometric equipment and testing vans. Client Education: Educate workers on proper hearing protection device (HPD) selection, fitting, maintenance, and the impacts of industrial noise exposure. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, confidential health records adhering to PIPEDA and provincial health information guidelines. Securely transmit screening data to internal occupational health software. Travel & Travel Logistics: Drive mobile testing units safely within Kamloops and surrounding regional communities. Qualifications & Requirements Certification: Current WorkSafeBC Industrial Audiometric Technician Certification (or eligibility for immediate renewal/reciprocity). Driver's License: Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (abstract required). Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in occupational screening, industrial health, or clinical testing environments preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency with digital audiometric software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and professional ethics. Physical & Travel Capability: Comfortable driving mobile testing vehicles and traveling locally/regionally on flexible single-day or short multi-day trips as scheduled.
