INTRODUCTION TO ROLE The R&D Engineer Intern will contribute to the advancement of MEMS technology through hands-on involvement in full-wafer measurement and characterization, circuit design using Altium, test optimization, and data analysis, ultimately supporting the development of innovative solutions. The R&D Engineer Intern will report directly to the Senior Systems Engineer and will be expected to work a total of 40 hours per week. Location: Montreal or Vancouver Duration: 4 to 8 months RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Perform full-wafer MEMS measurement and characterization, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection; Design and capture schematic and PCB layout using Altium designer; Develop and optimize the measurement to meet the industrial specifications; Assist with equipment programing and automated interfaces; Analyze and process experimental data, generating clear, concise, and well-written reports. REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, physics, or other equivalent; Strong background in high precision electronic measurement; Experience with analyzing and designing analog electronics; Experienced in Altium designer; Intermediate level computer programming skills: Python, MATLAB, or C++ are preferred; Data analysis skills; Proven problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills.
