What we offer The Senior Manager, Product Development & Commercialization plays a key role in advancing the strategy for Stelumar's Housing Solutions portfolio, setting direction across strategic planning, business case development, product commercialization, and cross-functional program leadership. Reporting to the Director, Housing Solutions, this role bridges business strategy, engineering, manufacturing, and operations to evaluate new product opportunities, lead development initiatives, and translate concepts into scalable, commercially viable solutions. The successful candidate is a seasoned leader who brings a strong business mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of driving complex, enterprise-level initiatives from concept through implementation while influencing senior stakeholders and developing high-performing teams. What you’ll do * Lead strategic initiatives that support the growth and evolution of Stelumar's Housing Solutions portfolio. * Develop business cases, financial analyses, and technical feasibility reviews for new products, technologies, and manufacturing capabilities, evaluating opportunities against cost, manufacturability, scalability, and customer value. * Lead product development projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment on objectives, budgets, timelines, and business outcomes across customers, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. * Execute testing, prototyping, and validation activities for new product concepts and design enhancements, and translate outcomes into product improvements, production-readiness plans, and commercialization strategies. * Coordinate with external engineering firms, consultants, site-based trades and installers, and technical partners to support product development, analysis, and technical evaluations. * Conduct market, customer, competitive, and industry analyses to identify opportunities for innovation, standardization, and operational improvements. * Prepare executive-level presentations, business recommendations, and project updates for senior leadership. * Champion a culture of innovation, disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. * Perform other related duties as assigned. What you bring * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in product development, strategy, or engineering roles, with exposure to manufacturing, construction, or building products. * Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teams and directing complex, cross-functional programs and enterprise-level strategic initiatives. * Strong business and financial acumen, including business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and investment evaluation. * Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple functions and levels of the organization. * Experience managing ambiguity and transforming concepts into executable plans. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize technical and business information into clear recommendations for leadership. Bonus Points * MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. * Experience within modular construction, advanced manufacturing, housing, building products, or industrialized construction. * Experience launching or commercializing new products, technologies, or service offerings. * Background in management consulting, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy functions. * Experience working across both manufacturing and construction environments. Compensation The expected base salary range for this position is 97,500 – 147,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills.
