Position Summary As an Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for the overall financial performance and Customer satisfaction in the assigned territory. This is accomplished by meeting yearly sales goals, driving growth in market share from competitors, distributor networks and assuring that all Customer experiences are positive, noteworthy and exceeding expectations. The Account Manager acts as a primary contact and sales consultant accountable for the Customer experience primarily within the Medical Device Reprocessing Area (SPD) and will also have interactions with GI and OR. The Account Manager is expected to appropriately balance their time selling the Company’s established line of products in SPD Reprocessing Consumables and Capital porfolio as well as all new product introductions. This territory will cover British Columbia What you will do as an Account Manager • Develop, communicate, and execute a yearly business plan for Capital and associated Consumable goods. • Submit and execute an accurate forecast (within a +/- 10% - 15% variance) for Capital and associated Consumable products on a monthly and quarterly basis. • Develop relationships with Customers in MDRA (SPD) GI, OR, IC, MM, Purchasing, Biomed, along with the CEO’s, COO’s and CFO’s of Acute Care Hospitals and Private Surgical Centers. • Consistently act in a manner that meets or exceeds Customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS. • Utilize value-added services in the selling process to differentiate STERIS from its competitors. This includes STERIS University, In-service video, sizing studies, equipment audits, CEU training and proportioners. Utilization of our Planning Group and VR Services. • Manage the post-sale process, including in-servicing to ensure Customers have thorough knowledge of the safe use of the equipment and consumables. • Capable of delineating and communicating the strengths and competitive advantages of STERIS products, services and technologies and how the application of these can assist the Customer in meeting their objectives. Use current available tools to provide a total solution to the Customer, to ensure their Capital and associated Consumable needs are met. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required • Bachelors degree • In lieu of Bachelor's degree: Associates/Technical degree with 5 years of sales/customer facing clinical experience • 3 years of sales experience with consistently meeting/exceeding sales goals • 2 years of successful B2B or medical device sales experience • Relevant STERIS experience may be considered in lieu of direct sales experience where the candidate has demonstrated strong customer engagement, STERIS product expertise, account support, or other experience demonstrating the ability to successfully transition into a sales role. • Successful history of selling new products, increasing product utilization, and protecting existing market share position • Ability to travel overnight up to 35% Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements Preferred • Degree in Business or Marketing • Experience in medical and consumable equipment sales; experience selling to a variety of departments with an emphasis within the MDRA/GI departments • Understanding of the hospital buying process including the role of National Accounts, GPO, and Distributors What STERIS Offers We value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being, and financial future. Pay rate for this opportunity is $90,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for participation in STERIS’ Sales Incentive Plan, with total on-target earnings of approximately $200,000, subject to the plan terms and individual performance.
