Job summary

We’re partnering with a fast-paced SaaS organization to recruit a polished and energetic Controller to lead the controllership function and serve as a key finance leader within the business. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting leader who enjoys staying close to the numbers, mentoring teams, and partnering with the business to drive results. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, while contributing to the financial close, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow initiatives. You will be required to: Lead the month-end close and deliver accurate financials with actionable insights Provide IFRS guidance and act as a trusted advisor across the business Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow optimization Lead, coach and develop the finance team Develop and improve accounting policies, processes and controls Manage compliance for statutory filings and taxes across multiple entities Perform audits from planning to resolution Drive system and process improvements using technology Contribute to broader finance initiatives as part of a lean, agile team Designed for a Controller seeking more than business-as-usual, this opportunity offers high visibility, real influence, and the chance to lead both the work and the people behind it. Qualifications: The main qualifications for this role include: Completed formal accounting education; CPA designation (or CFE passed) 3+ years of progressive experience at the Controllership level Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with IFRS Proven leadership with a hands-on approach Excellent people skills, strong work ethic and ability to deliver accurate work efficiently and in a timely manner Assets: Experience with NetSuite is a strong asset SaaS, High-Tech, or Telecommunications industry experience is a plus Experience in a publicly traded company environment is preferred Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 salary range Fully remote work set-up Generous bonus potential Strong benefits from day 1 Location: Ottawa (Remote) Internal Job ID#: 5086 Recruiter Name: Paul Stevenson
