Job details

On-Site | Saskatoon, SK Job ID 10647 Company Description Our client is an established business supplying equipment, parts and service solutions to commercial and industrial HVAC customers. Behind every repair, equipment replacement and service call is a parts operation that has to work properly. Customers and technicians need the right components, accurate information and realistic timelines. Inventory needs to be where the system says it is, and incoming and outgoing products need to move efficiently. That is where this position fits. For someone who likes keeping things organized, helping people and working with both information and physical products, the role offers a good mix of customer service, order coordination and hands-on warehouse work. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 800 a.m. to 430 p.m. Compensation Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits Company pension plan Team and company activities Permanent, full-time employment The Opportunity This is more than a position spent moving boxes around a warehouse. You could be preparing a parts quote for a customer, confirming availability or lead time, tracking an order, receiving a shipment, updating inventory or helping make sure someone in sales or service has what they need to keep work moving. A customer may be waiting for an answer. A technician may be waiting for a part. An inventory discrepancy may need to be investigated before it creates another problem. The person who does well here will be someone who notices those things and takes the initiative to sort them out. There is customer interaction and computer-based work, but this is not a desk-only role. Shipping, receiving, inventory control and hands-on warehouse responsibilities are all part of the position. If you prefer a day with some movement and variety, like knowing where things stand and take satisfaction in getting the details right, this role offers plenty of both. Position Description Preparing parts quotations Providing customers with accurate pricing, availability and expected lead times Responding to parts inquiries and helping customers obtain the information they need Coordinating shipping and receiving activities Tracking orders and communicating updates to customers and colleagues Receiving, checking and organizing incoming products Performing cycle counts Investigating discrepancies and helping maintain accurate inventory records Working with inventory-management systems Safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment Coordinating with sales, service and administrative colleagues to keep customer requirements and orders on track Helping ensure outgoing orders are accurate and completed on time Maintaining a clean, safe and organized warehouse and surrounding work area Experience Relevant experience may come from Parts Warehousing Shipping and receiving Inventory management Customer service or another customer-facing position A mechanical, HVAC or related technical environment A background that combines customer service, organization and hands-on operational work would translate particularly well. Qualifications Strong attention to detail Good organizational skills A customer-focused approach Clear communication skills Practical problem-solving ability An appropriate sense of urgency Dependability and follow-through The ability to manage several active priorities without losing track of the details The ability to work effectively with sales, service, administration and customers Comfort working in both customer-facing and hands-on warehouse situations The ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification and previous forklift operating experience are considered strong assets.
