Job summary

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, stamping, and testing Surface Safety Systems products in accordance with work order requirements. Key position functions include: * Responsible to ensure assembly and testing meet work order requirements. * Paint and/or coat products. * Test parts, apply name plate and/or stamping. * Identify non-conformances by separation and/or marking. * Check all calibration is accurate and re-calibrate as necessary. * Operate various engraving systems. * Maintain workstation and equipment to an acceptable Stream-Flo standard of cleanliness. * Follow all work order and process traveler requirements and fill out job sheets or record time using ERP system. * Report all machine, crane and hoist problems in the proper maintenance logs and notify Maintenance Department and/or lead hand/supervisor of a down time situation. * Ensure processes and testing operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner. * Perform other duties assigned by Lead Hand/Supervisor. Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following: * High school diploma with a mechanical aptitude. * Related assembly, testing and painting experience an asset. * Mechanical assembly/repair experience an asset. * Read and understand engineering drawings, technical documents and flow diagrams an asset. * Forklift experience an asset. * Computer skills using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel); knowledge of ERP systems an asset. * Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. * Detail oriented and a strong work ethic. * Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills. * Self-motivated and ability to prioritize. * Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
