Stream-Flo Industries is currently seeking a Valve Technician to work with our Aftermarket Services team in Edmonton, Alberta. Work Conditions: * Monday to Friday, 8 hour days * Currently ample opportunity for Overtime. * Work is primarily performed indoors. Key position functions include: * Repair all valve equipment while maintaining high standards of production, documentation and safety * Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications * Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves * Maintain accurate database and documentation * Calibrate, function test, and trouble shoot choke valves, and a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric positioners and actuation * Record non-conformances as required * Organize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers and racking * Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment * Occasional yard maintenance work * After-hours availability when required Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following: * High School Diploma * Related valve repair, rebuild, and/or teardown experience is an asset, but training is provided * A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality * Strong mechanical aptitude * Forklift experience is an asset * Good communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Stream-Flo offers a competitive salary, profit sharing and a comprehensive benefit program to prospective employees, as well as the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment, characterized by continued growth and strong business results.
