The Valve Technician is responsible for the tear down, reassembly, and troubleshooting of valve equipment in accordance with company standards. They must also manage work orders, maintain stock, and ensure quality control while meeting strict production deadlines.

Job details

Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Customer Property/Remanufacturing, the Valve Technician will be responsible for repairs of all valve equipment. Key position functions include: * Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications * Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves * Understand & Write travelers and work orders for estimate to repair * Trouble shoot issues that may arise with equipment * Receive equipment when required * Maintain stock * Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of any irregularities with orders or equipment * Meet completion deadlines while producing quality work and a quality product * Afterhours availability when required Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following: * High School Diploma with relevant experience with valves/chokes and oilfield industry preferred * Mechanically inclined; basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality * Ability to operate a forklift * Good communication (oral and written), interpersonal, customer service, and problem solving skills * Well organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment * Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy The Stream-Flo Group of Companies, consisting of Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. and Master Flo Valve Inc., are privately owned and operated Canadian manufacturers of wellhead, production gate valve and check valve equipment, as well as chokes, specialty control valves and supporting actuation.
