Location: All Areas, British Columbia Position Summary Apprentice Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Project Details Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project) Shift: 14 days on / 7 days off Travel Allowance: $400/shift Camp Retention: $25/day Core Accountabilities Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.) Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems Qualifications Education Must be a registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority. Training Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets. CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted.
