Position Summary The Experienced Pipeline Integrity Sand Blaster is responsible for performing abrasive blasting and surface preparation activities on pipelines, facilities, tanks, structural steel, and related infrastructure. This position ensures surfaces are properly prepared to meet coating and integrity requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The role supports pipeline integrity and maintenance projects in field environments and may require travel to various job sites. The position involves labour work during times when blasting is not required. CORE ACCOUNTABILTIES Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation activities in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Prepare pipeline, facility, and structural steel surfaces for coating application. Operate and maintain blasting equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect prepared surfaces to verify cleanliness, profile, and coating readiness requirements are achieved. Follow all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements. Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and job safety analyses. Complete required documentation, inspection records, and daily reports. Identify and report equipment deficiencies, safety hazards, and quality concerns. Maintain work areas, equipment, and materials in a clean and organized manner. Assist coating crews and inspectors as required. Support project schedules through effective planning and execution of assigned work. Travel to various project locations and work in field environments as required. Endeavor to achieve JEDCO's safety, quality, and operational goals. Qualifications Education Applicable safety certifications considered an asset. Experience Experience working in industrial, pipeline, oil and gas, or construction environments. Experience operating blasting equipment and related tools. Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting methods and surface preparation standards. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions. Valid Class 5 Driver's License. Will be required to travel.
