Location: High Level, Alberta, T0H 1Z0 Position Summary Journeyperson B-Pressure Rig Welders work in both shop and field-based settings on projects that include joining components such as beams, girders, vessels, and piping. They ensure all jobs are completed according to welding procedure specifications, weld maps, and work packages. Note: This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings. Future openings are anticipated but not guaranteed. Core Accountabilities Work collaboratively with Non-Destructive Testing Inspectors Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits Perform welding of pipe spools with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, and Production while working in accordance with client specifications and Strike's weld procedures Monitor parts usage and report any material issues Interpret Acorn drawings accurately Qualifications Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority Must possess an ABSA Grade ‘B’ Pressure Welder certificate Must be CWB certified Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing Possess a valid Driver’s License Willingness to travel to various work sites Ability to interpret Acorn drawings Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions Why Work for Strike Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, Strike provides energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.
