THE ROLE Our client is an established and growing metal distribution company seeking an experienced and dependable Administrative Assistant to join its head office team in Delta. This hands-on administrative support position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, routine, accuracy, and being a reliable resource for others. Responsibilities Greet customers and visitors and respond to general inquiries. Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence. Process cheque deposits and apply Accounts Receivable payments in the company’s internal system. Order and maintain office and warehouse supplies. Provide general administrative support to managers, sales representatives, and other office employees. Coordinate couriers and receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries. Prepare and process expense reports for designated employees. Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and document preparation. Maintain accurate and organized office records and filing systems. Assist with additional administrative duties as required. Requirements A minimum of three to five years of experience in an administrative assistant, office assistant, or receptionist position. Post-secondary education is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage established responsibilities reliably. Ability to collaborate effectively within an office environment. A dependable and consistent approach, with an interest in long-term employment.
