We foster a collaborative, design-forward studio culture. https://www.studiojci.com/ WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY: We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented INTERMEDIATE to SENIOR ARCHITECT with 5–8 years of experience in an architecture firm to join our team. As an Intermediate/Senior Architect, you demonstrate strong design judgment and keen attention to detail. You are a critical thinker who can navigate complex challenges and guide projects from concept through to completion. You are an effective team leader who can mentor staff, coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, and drive successful project outcomes. This is a full-time, salaried position. Candidates must be available to work in the office 3–5 days per week. Salary: $82,000 - $92,000 WHAT WILL YOU DO? · Lead and contribute to projects across all phases, from feasibility through to contract administration · Manage and coordinate project teams, consultants, resource planning, and clients on projects of varying scale and complexity · Review drawings for Zoning, Site Plan and Ontario Building Code (OBC) compliance · Oversee the production and quality control of construction documents · Mentor and support junior staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards · Participate in meetings to collaborate and consult with clients, and help resolve design and construction issues efficiently · Demonstrates a strong commitment to firm culture and office community, guided by our vision WHAT DO YOU NEED? · Graduated from an accredited university program in Architecture · Minimum of 5+ years of experience · Strong design-based skills · Experience with missing middle housing typologies and large-scale multi-unit residential is an asset · Very good understanding and knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials and industry-associated standards · Good understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications · Excellent prioritization & time management skills of yourself and your team · Ability to work independently and in teams · Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects · Excellent visual and graphic presentation skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Proficiency in Revu Bluebeam, Autodesk software (Revit), and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
