Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Junior High Teacher for a work assignment at Gibbons School. Located in the town of Gibbons, this school welcomes students from Grades 5-9. Gibbons School has a strong academic program in addition to an award-winning music program and a range of dynamic options for complementary courses. The school is inclusive, where student programming is based on a student's strengths and abilities. What You'll Be Doing Teach Junior High PE, Math, Social, Science Inspire students through inquiry-based, student-centered learning Differentiate instruction in an inclusive classroom setting Understanding and application of assessment for outcomes-based reporting Collaborate with colleagues to foster a safe and caring learning environment What You Bring A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Training and background in Elementary Education Experience teaching PE, Math, Social, Science Experience with inquiry learning and positive classroom management Strong skills in using educational technology to support learning Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check Why Join Sturgeon Public Schools?
