Reaching People. Touching Lives. Job purpose Responsible for various support activities in the QA/QC Laboratory. Duties and responsibilities Issuing analytical templates, disposing tested samples and chemical solvent waste Collecting of release and stability samples and logging the samples in the master schedule Washing of glassware for QC Laboratory. Restocking glassware and supplies used in the laboratory. Maintenance of the lab dishwasher and calling in service reps as required. Purchasing/receiving laboratory supplies Safe disposal of chemical solvent waste Daily monitoring of lab equipment (refrigerators/freezers/balances). General cleaning of some lab equipment as required (sonic baths, ice-methanol bath, fume hoods, etc.) Participate in the annual review of laboratory chemicals. Shift or flexible working hours may be required Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task General knowledge of chemicals and MSDS Routine problem solving and decision making Additional responsibility (Only applicable to customer facing roles) Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day Qualifications & Experience High School diploma (Grade 12) Some knowledge of GMP’s and lab procedures preferred Working conditions Generally, fairly pleasant surroundings. Occasional exposure to higher than normal noise levels, exposure to various chemicals used in the testing of raw materials, components and finished products. Occasional exposure to unpleasant odors resulting from testing procedures. Fairly level temperatures. Mixture of sitting, standing and walking. The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $50,000 to $62,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time. Requirements

The position requires a High School diploma (Grade 12) and strong organizational and communication skills. Some knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory procedures is preferred.
