Job Description Summary Sunbelt Rentals’ Film & TV division is growing, and we’re looking for a detail‑oriented Equipment Technician to join our team. About the Role As a Film & TV Equipment Technician, you’ll ensure our lighting and production gear is clean, functional, safe, and ready to support film sets across the industry. You’ll work closely with our operations and rental teams while gaining valuable skills and experience with professional-grade film equipment. What You’ll Do Clean, inspect, and prepare lighting and production equipment for rental. Process equipment safely and efficiently to manufacturer specifications. Perform basic repairs on lighting units and accessories. Use small tools and apply proper repair techniques. Identify equipment misuse and report concerns to the Triage Supervisor. Complete Loss & Damage forms for review and pricing. Route electronic repair needs to the Electronics Technician. Assist other internal departments as required. Organize warehouse shelving and maintain a neat, accessible workspace. Identify and reallocate sub‑rental equipment to the correct area. Operate warehouse machinery (forklift, order picker, pallet jack) — training provided. Follow all WCB and Sunbelt safety policies. Perform additional duties as needed. What You Bring Knowledge of film industry equipment is an asset—not a requirement. Experience with rental software is helpful. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
