About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Data Engineer to join Coalition’s Data team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for defining the architecture and setting the technical direction for our enterprise Data & Analytics platform. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable, reliable data infrastructure supporting cybersecurity, insurance exposure analytics, business intelligence, actuarial workflows, and AI/ML products. Develop reusable data products, contracts, feature stores, and semantic models to serve BI, actuarial, AI/ML, and operational teams. Implement observability, data quality, lineage, security, and incident-management practices to safeguard data integrity and compliance. Build foundational platform components for feature engineering, embeddings, vector search, and AI retrieval applications. Collaborate closely with engineering, product, underwriting, actuarial, security, and business teams to align architecture with strategic goals and customer needs. Lead efforts to optimize data workflows, improve pipeline reliability, and support scalable analytics and AI initiatives. Benefits 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents. Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance. Annual stipend for home office setup and access to WeWork spaces. Wellness programs focused on mental and physical health, including Headspace and Lumino subscriptions. Competitive compensation packages with opportunities for career advancement.
