Summary Of Duties The successful candidate will provide nutritional management of inpatient General Medicine, acute care unit in K3EA in accordance with the Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice and the principles of person and family-centred care model that Sunnybrook Hospital follows. The successful candidate will provide emergency cross coverage as needed and will participate in the advancement of patient care through professional, program-based and organizational committees, quality initiatives, practice-based research, and interprofessional rounds. The candidate will also participate in the education of dietetic students and other students as applicable. Qualifications And Skills Current registration with College of Dietitians of Ontario required Recent experience with general medicine patients preferred Proficiency in nutritional assessment and care Experience assessing, implementing and managing nutrition care plans, including enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, and therapeutic diets required Superior organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize patient care across multiple units Ability to work effectively as a member of the interprofessional team Experience providing patient and family education and counselling Demonstrated initiative, innovative thinking, and ability to effectively prioritize work Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration skills Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development Demonstrated knowledge of person-centred care approach and principles

Provide nutritional management for inpatient General Medicine and acute care units following Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice. Participate in interprofessional rounds, quality initiatives, and the education of dietetic students.

Requires current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and experience managing enteral and parenteral nutrition. Proficiency in nutritional assessment and a commitment to person-centred care are essential.
