Reporting to the District Manager and collaborating daily with the Delivery or Service Coordinator, the primary responsibility of the Propane Specialist is to deliver propane. The propane specialist will support service as the business / market requires. What you'll do: Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane product to and from containers (cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Notify the Delivery Coordinator of route, customer or call frequency changes and adjustments. Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and, if applicable documenting, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections. Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the District Manager/Delivery Coordinator. Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations and corporate image Present a respectable and clean corporate image maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. Load and unload propane tanks and equipment from Superior facilities and customer locations. Determine load weights and check against lifting capacity to prevent overload. Ensure proper placement and leveling of tank, ensuring code requirements are met. Install, service and repair used and new appliances and propane systems with direct supervision from a certified Service Technician and capture hours in your log book. Safely and effectively perform tank evacuations, including hooking hoses to and from stationary tanks to the bulk truck for propane transfer, lifting and securing tanks and properly using compressor/pumps. Prepare all tanks for service including the replacement of valves and lids and maintain accurate documentation of all such repairs performed. What you bring: High school diploma Minimum of two (2) years of commercial driving experience Possess valid Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract Ability to repetitively lift 60 lbs on a regular basis Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Strong customer Service skills Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically on board truck computers Salary: $25.23 - $31.52 hourly (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography). Requirements
